Docket Lite

Privacy

The short version: your applications never leave your browser. This page explains exactly what is stored and what is counted.

What stays on your device

Your applications, notes and settings (your theme, backup reminders and which prompts you have closed) are saved in your browser's local storage, on the device you are using. Docket Lite has no accounts and no server that receives or keeps them. A different browser or device has its own separate list. Clearing your browser data erases it, so download a backup now and then.

What the site owner counts

To see whether the tool is useful, the owner counts visits and a handful of anonymous actions, using Cloudflare Web Analytics and GoatCounter. Neither uses cookies. The actions are:

  • an application was added, and a visitor's first application was added
  • example rows were loaded or removed
  • a CSV was imported or exported
  • deadlines were exported to a calendar
  • a share button or the tip link was clicked
  • the colour theme was changed, and which one

Only the name of the action is counted. Nothing you type is ever sent, including institutions, programmes, notes and dates. As with any website, the hosting and analytics services handle technical details such as your IP address when your browser connects. Docket Lite does not use that to build a profile of you, and there are no advertising or tracking cookies.

Fonts

The pages load their fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser contacts Google to fetch them.

Tips and payments

The tip link opens a separate payment page run by Razorpay. Payment details are handled there and never by Docket Lite.

If you write to me

If you email docket.support@gmail.com, I receive your address and message and use them only to reply.

What Docket Lite is not

It is an independent tool. It is not connected to any university or admissions body, and it does not predict admission results. Your information is not sold or shared with advertisers.

Deleting your data

Delete applications inside the tracker, or clear this site's data in your browser settings. Because nothing is stored on a server, that removes everything.
